Dear heavenly Father,
I have failed miserably in the past. Please remind me that your promised plan of redemption is good.
…but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
A deep understanding of Christ and the gospel leads to self-reflection and God-honoring praise, not self-condemnation and self-debasing pity.
My sin and my mistakes do not define me. When I humble my heart and bow down, your grace will be with me. Your plan is always good.
Christ Jesus, Your amazing love and your sacrificial work on the cross define me. I will no longer condemn myself (nor will I condemn others).
Thank you, God, for demonstrating your love towards me and for letting me taste the goodness of your love! It is a healing balm for my soul!
Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!Psalms 34:8
