A Peacemaker’s Blessing

Pray:

Heavenly Father, open my eyes and strengthen my faith so I can be a peacemaker today. Give me the kind of spirit that enables me to be Jesus to others.

Read:

“for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to promise.” Galatians 3:26-29

Christ calls it a blessing to be a facilitator of peace.
It is the privilege of the Christian to work toward peace at home, in the church, with neighbors, and throughout the world.

Apply:

Because God has brought me into his peace, then everyone I meet has the potential to be included in his peace blueprint. This isn’t about helping people stay out of trouble or keeping opposing sides apart, it’s a visible, distinctive lifestyle observed by the watching world.

[Inhale]

Say:

Because I am your beloved child, I am able to risk being close to people (& potentially being hurt) so others may be brought into a spirit of reconciliation.

[Exhale]

PRAISE:

You are graciously sweeping hypocrisy, envy, and selfishness out of my life through the blood of the Lamb. Faith in Christ’s sacrifice on my behalf has cleansed my heart. I have been given the gift of peace!

We can be peacemakers in light of God’s love for us and in the power of the gospel.
